OpenPlatform by mSE PointOut is an innovative approach in supply chain dedicated to agility and resilience

Munich, 18 August 2022 – mSE PointOut, a consulting and technology provider for the digitalization of business processes, has been named by the renowned US research and consulting firm Gartner, as one of four companies in its latest “Cool Vendors in Supply Chain Technology” report.

"With our OpenPlatform approach, we clearly stand out from other vendors as a consulting and technology provider for the digitalization of business processes," says Klaus Imping, CEO of mSE Solutions. He further adds, "Many functional areas of supply chain have traditionally been at the heart of optimization and digitalization. The potential and value lie in the connection of the individual silos. Our OpenPlatform addresses this largely untapped area by providing horizontal process integration capabilities. This promotes efficiency, agility, scalability and focus on the customer experience."

In the Gartner report, supply chain analysts explain the importance of moving to cross-functional, horizontal e2e integration rather than vertical silos. As organizations continue to address both internal and external challenges and disruptions, the need for an integrated, agile, resilient and innovative bridge is more necessary than ever. mSE PointOut's strategic approach uses the core building blocks of process integration, insights, algorithms, digital supply chain twin and data hub to bridge disparate silos and integrate e2e processes, connect systems through digitization and bridge the gaps with cognitive process automation.

The solution addresses the importance of speed, quality, and cost by focusing on a collaborative approach to cross-silo configuration, enabling efficient process integration and fostering the ability to orchestrate end-to-end decision-making. As the Market Guide suggests, supply chain leaders responsible for selecting analytics and intelligence technologies do this by creating a coherent technology roadmap. The solution approach directly reflects the discovery of the systems present in the corporate landscape, identifying blind spots and unlocking their potential.

The solution leverages advanced analytics, connects data sources and empowers customers to make quick decisions, bridging the gap to agility, resilience, and innovation:

  • Agility: OpenPlatform adapts to customer priorities and workarounds. The strategic roadmap combines data and connectivity using industry standards that enable creative process composition and gives customers the freedom to customize their solution offerings and achieve a high level of automated process  connectivity.
  • Resilience: By providing visibility for horizontal process integration workflow capabilities that drive efficiency, scalability and an overall improved customer experience, the solution creates resilient e2e processes, connecting systems through digitalization and opening the door to cognitive process automation. To do this, it offers several useful analytical and problem solving algorithms.
  •  Innovation: The solution addresses the importance of speed, quality and cost by creating interactive visualizations and business intelligence capabilities, directly enabling reporting and analytics. An intuitive interface allows end users to create their own reports and dashboards. Data can be adjusted manually and a diverse portfolio of what-if analyses can also be created.

What makes the solution unique? The approach to enterprise-side process orchestration and automation is designed to connect disparate systems and technologies into strategic and integrated workflows. This includes connecting unique, yet functional systems and not replacing them.
