It began in the 1980s: Christian Zott realized that it was necessary to internationally coordinate the optimization of production and supply chains. He was convinced that growing globalization called for new solutions in process optimization. His plan: to advise companies and to awaken their interest through his conviction that great potential lay in the systematic analysis and optimization of all processes. A logistics manager of an electronics manufacturer at the time, Zott worked on a business plan every day after work, and in September 1987 the company was founded.

The company has continually grown, through its own project business as well as by founding further businesses and a holding company, and can be termed a success story. In addition to CEO Christian Zott, a well-coordinated team of managing directors operates the company with five branches on three continents. mSE Solutions’ geographic footprint now spans 44 countries worldwide.

In addition to the potential offered by emerging technologies, end-to-end analysis also considers personnel issues. “Particularly in times when everyone is focusing on the increasing technical challenges, the human side in not being taken into account enough”, believes Klaus Imping, COO of the company. mSE Solutions’ end-to-end approach often reveals surprising and crucial opportunities.

This consulting approach has continued to evolve. One thing, however, has been the maxim for mSE for 30 years now: not to make any recommendations without a commitment to implementation. “For us, it is not just a matter of comprehensively analyzing all problem areas in the supply chain and developing suitable solutions”, explains COO Klaus Imping, “We are committed to implementing all of our ideas if desired”. This includes everything from training our clients’ employees up to developing and implementing the necessary IT.
