Result

The capital costs per supplied flight hour were reduced by 18%, defect costs were reduced by 70% compared to the base level and customer performance was increased by 6%. The business volume increased significantly above the market growth rate during the period of the project and has almost doubled since the start of the project.

Task

The task was to solve the dilemma between added-value aspects, on the one hand, and controllability and cost efficiency on the other. And in a heterogeneous system landscape with more than 5,000 employees; an operational, high-volume, time-critical business process with reaction times of, in some cases, less than half an hour; physical material supply incorporating several hundred thousand working materials, across more than 1,600 locations.

Approach

In response, mSE Solutions developed MAX – MAterial eXellence, a process toolbox that includes the process-supporting information systems. The cardinal rule in this case – the IT comes after the process, not the other way round.
