Task
Rapid availability is the alpha and omega of the spare parts business. This goal was in conflict with the limited storage space available to the Mercedes-Benz Regional Logistics Centre Singapore.
Approach
The task involved recording and analysing the Supply Chain Fingerprint® for more than 200,000 parts in just four weeks. Transparency along the entire supply chain made it possible to reduce the inventory while simultaneously increasing the level of service.
